New Year Steelhead

02 January 2008 - 09:52 Resolve, as I do, to fish more and cast better this year. Like the eagles I again roost on the banks of the Skagit and Sauk Rivers. For the next four months here is where I guide for steelhead and dollies. Isn¹t your top resolution to catch more steelhead? Book a day or two with me as your guide and hook fish.

Here is the season I foresee. In January the vanguard of wild steelhead run these rivers. In February and early March I focus on the middle Skagit between Concrete and Lyman where holding fish concentrate. Alternately I start to probe the up-river run, following the fish into the Sauk, the Skagit¹s major tributary. Late March through April we fish the upper Skagit above and below Rockport and the Sauk to the Suiattle.

A number of clients are booked, but I still have time for you. From now till April's end I offer the finest of steelhead fly fishing on the North Cascades finest water. Do call or email me to reserve several relaxing days of superb fishing.
